This photo may be of the 1st electric light that was installed in Houston. This photo could be of Daniel Hacker or one of his sons. Several of them worked for HL&P as wick trimmers, per an old city directory. Both men may be Hacker men or one of them could be Nick Linzza, son in law of Daniel Hacker. It was said that Nick Linzza installed the 1st electric light in Houston, TX.

The likely location of this picture is on Harrisburg in Houston, TX, taken in anywhere from 1901 to 1906. In 1897 Daniel bought 160 acres in the area. We know that the family was in the same area earlier because they are in the city directory for the years 1890-1891.
